Family Reunion description:
2016 was a vintage to remember for Stephanie and Eduard at Gut Oggau. Spring brought heavy frost and hailstorms were a regular occurrence during the summer. Autumn, by contrast, was peaceful, forgiving and warm. The result of this tumultuous year in the vineyard were tiny volumes of very high quality grapes. To let their wine tell the story of the year through their characters, Stephanie and Eduard decided, for the 2016 vintage only, to gather their whole family of characters and let them express themselves through three unique blends. The individual characters of other vintages joined and the 2016 Family Reunion was formed. Their cumulative energy brings a focused strength and a collective finesse. The spirit of youth and the wisdom of maturity is expressed in a single bottle. These unique bottles tell the story of a very challenging year in the vineyards of Gut Oggau that resulted in something unique and extraordinary.
